Trillium Construction is now seeking a Remedial Water Systems Operator in Lockport!

The Remedial System Operator serves as the Operator for a groundwater remedial system that includes groundwater extraction and treatment systems. The Remedial System Operator works independently and has specifically assigned duties and responsibilities that require licensing and experience.

Responsibilities:
-Operation of several groundwater extraction systems and a treatment system.
-Perform daily operations, conduct water and wastewater testing, data input, meter readings or repairs, minor equipment, extraction well, pumping system maintenance and repair activities, overseeing/coordinating with complex system maintenance and repairs.
-Perform sewer inspections/sampling activities at various frequencies (daily to semiannual)
-Able to work independently, make decisions, and respond to requests from the client.
-Prepare operational report for client.
-Review and update of data and Standard Operating Procedures for assigned systems.
-Assigned on-call duties.
-Related duties as required.

-Proficient in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
-Knowledge of SCADA, GIS and Computerized Maintenance Management System.
-Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-Mechanical and electrical skills an asset.
-Ability to read system design prints.
-Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
-Must meet the training certification requirements in accordance with the Health and Safety Plan.
-High school diploma
-Optional - New York State Department of Environmental Conservation 2A wastewater certification required.
-Minimum five years directly related experience in water/wastewater treatment operations.
-An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be deemed acceptable.
